I started switching over from books to e-books last summer using the iPad. Since then, I received a Kindle for Xmas and am now trying to switch over completely to e-books.
I primarily use the Kindle for fiction and the iPad for non-fiction. On the iPad, I use both the Kindle and iBooks apps (iBooks for epubs that I buy from O'Reilly or Apress). So far I like both devices, and prefer the Kindle when reading outside.
